The General Lee's Headquarters Flag was made for General Robert E. Lee by his wife, Mary Anna Custis Lee, and their daughters. It is a variation of the Stars and Bars, with a different star pattern. This unique flag became the symbol of his headquarters throughout the Civil War. It was used by General Robert E. Lee to designate the location of his headquarters between June 1962 and the summer of 1863.
